Introduction to Child-Centered Play Therapy: How to engage in spontaneous play and use the language of children
Join us as we explore introductory ideas and practices of counseling young children by using toys, art supplies, games, and other play media to communicate using their “language” of play. While it might be intuitive to some of us, this workshop aims to clarify definitions and motives for allowing children to lead the session, and methods to support them in sessions where play serves to helpt them freely express their ideas of self and regulate their own nervous system.
